Wig tag question!

My new PM Sam is missing some of the hair along the bottom of the wig and I noticed that at the bottom there seems to be what looks like a cute tag. her hair is still fried...she has an artist mark and the soft vinyl, so I am pretty sure she's authentic, but the tag is a little skeptical to me. Does anyone have authentic dolls with part of the bottom hair missing with a visible cut tag?

My authentic Felicity had a tag inside the wig when I took it off. It was clear though, printed with a number. She was a rather new Lissie from about 1997.

Sam's is white (but looks a little purple which may be from the downy)...here's a pic

I think most AG dolls have this as well as fakes. I wouldn't say the wig tag is only on fakes.
